Gemma Collins, John Horgan and Richard Burton. May 2013. Photo by John Allen.- Two beggars pretend to be blind and end up getting VIP treatment in a 5 star hotel restaurant. Set in London in the 1980’s the play brings together the Haves and the Have-Nots in an orgy of misbehaviour, mischief, overeating and extreme kindness. Featuring a vindictive Vicar, a woman who distils poteen in a toilet and Queen Victoria as a blighted potato, the play is an indictment of people with hearts like dried peas and pound signs in their eyes- Wrap up warm, and visit Kinsale College’s unique amphitheatre to enjoy a night in a restaurant that will refresh even the most jaded theatrical palate. “Ambitious, funny and subversive.” Judy Friel, The Abbey Theatre.
