Introduction

This is a one-year course, which combines a range of multimedia skills. Those who complete this course may gain entry into the second year of a Level 8 degree course. We have established a formal link with, The Institute of Technology Tralee, and we are in the process of developing similar links with other colleges.

Minimum Entry Requirements

FETAC Level 5 certificate in a relevant course.
Students who complete the Multimedia, level 5 course or the TV & Film Production, level 5 course, may gain entry to this level 6 course.

Duration

This is a one-year daytime course. Students attend three and a half days per week and are given course work to complete outside of class-time.

Graphics and Animation
Digital Video Processing and Production
Communications
Editing Practice and Techniques
3 Dimensional Computer Graphics

The remaining credit value of 1 can be obtained by using one or more components from level 5 or 6

Notes

For full FETAC Certificate, Communications and Work Experience are mandatory.
Students may select from different Course groups.
VTOS, BTE and 3rd level grants available.
Study in Kinsale and avoid city traffic.
Public transport available from Cork.
